We Make Good Is Ireland’s first and only social enterprise design brand. Established in 2018, we are a small team of committed hard working people with a passion for social justice, working towards a more equal fair society, one product at a time. We Make Good are currently expanding our wholesale and production capabilities.. The manufacturing side of our business supports people from marginalised backgrounds (Traveller, Experience of Prison/Probation or Rehabilitation, from a Refugee background or living with a Disability) to develop work and personal development skills, combined with support to attain their personal goals - these opportunities are often life changing. Our social media and salesperson plays a key role in engaging people with this exciting story. The Role: This role is central to the next stage of our business growth. It involves engaging new and existing clients through social media and creating new corporate and wholesale clients through direct contact and good ideas which are well implemented. You will work closely with the other areas of our business, namely our senior management team and the textiles and print workrooms, as well our social enterprise partners - on occasion. You’ll be part of a team of creative, committed people and will be given ownership of your work and clear targets to work towards. We encourage you to bring your own creativity to the role and to explore new areas and ideas for the business. You’ll be supported to grow into and expand your role to match your areas of interest. Our ideal candidate:

  • Is passionate about social justice and about creating opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds

  • Loves design / homewares / fashion

  • Highly motivated, enjoys work and can create opportunities

  • Has a robust sense of humour and works well under pressure

  • Enjoys writing and creating content for social media,

  • Highly creative with a eye for detail and an aesthetic which will work with our brand

  • Has a strong knowledge of marketing methods with a focus on digital

  • Strong administration and record keeping skills

  • Is confident, engaging and unafraid of making direct contact with new customers - can work a professional event or a market - skilled at story telling

  • Is interested in growing a business, and being part of a motivated and fast moving team

  • A good communicator, listener and team player

  • Interested in helping others to learn and develop

  • Punctual, reliable, flexible and able to work efficiently

Responsibilities (will include, but are not limited to)

  • Developing a social media and marketing strategy with the senior team

  • Engaging with corporate and wholesale clients and generating new contracts through direct contact and online engagement

  • Maintaining relevant records and databases

  • Provide short monthly reports

  • Producing engaging content

  • Managing social media channels and building and engaging with our customers online

  • Direct engagement with new clients

  • Advertising management

  • Assisting with events on occasion and at Christmas (workshops, markets, pop-ups etc)

Required skill set

  • At least two years experience in a similar role

  • Strong knowledge of social media and experience in content development

  • Creative with a portfolio to show a complementary aesthetic (this could be social media or other medium)

  • A proven interest in homewares, design and fashion

  • Ability to self motivate and work independently with a strong drive to achieve and make targets

  • Ability to learn fast and ask for help when needed

  • Strong communication skills

Desirable

  • Drivers licence and access to a vehicle

  • Design or graphics skills

  • Photography skills
