Library guards will be responsible for security, crowd control, and customer care at the Old Library in Trinity College

The Book of Kells and Old Library receives over a million visitors a year with its busiest period being the summer months. The college is looking for people who are "capable of working in a very busy environment, capable of the physical demands of patrolling the Old Library building, providing security for the Library Shop and the library’s collections, and assisting in building evacuations and other health and safety matters, when necessary".
Successful applicants will work 39 hours a week from May 8 to September 3, 2023 with extended opening hours apply. The college is looking to hire six full-time candidates for this role.
Library guards will be paid on a fortnightly salary scale of €1,157.76 to €1,321.26. Eager applicants submit a CV and a cover letter (1x A4 page) that specifically address the following points:
