
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic professional to join The Wheel’s energetic team as Administrative Officer. As a key member of our Operations Team, the successful candidate will support the internal operations of The Wheel and provide support to members of The Wheel, and the wider Community and Voluntary sector. They will have a positive and responsive attitude towards collaborative working, that encourages the best from, and supports the efforts of others. The Wheel The Wheel is Ireland’s national association of community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises. As a representative voice, we provide leadership to the charity and community sector and we advocate on behalf of our growing community of members. As a supportive resource, we offer advice, training and other opportunities to people working or volunteering in the charity and community sector. About the Role Main duties and responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for members needing advice and support
Manage the office switchboard, with support from others at Officer level, responding & directing & recording in our Client Relationships Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, as required
Manage the purchase of office supplies and ensure cost efficiencies in relation to office running costs, where relevant
Coordinate internal meetings
Internal event management
Provide general admin support to the Directors as required
HR and recruitment support as needed
The post-holder will be highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will have a positive and flexible attitude in response to organisational change and development. This role requires someone of sound judgement, that has the capability to make someone on the phone (or in person) feel that they have been provided with all that they needed.
