Online Media Executive Reference No: OMENO0522 Location: SVP House, Dublin 1 Duration: Fixed Term (9 months) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Published: Monday 09th May 2022 Closing Date: 4 pm Friday 23rd May 2022 The primary purpose of this role is to assist the National Online & Media Coordinator and the wider Communications team in the development, implementation and evaluation of an effective marketing and communications strategy that supports the organisation in achieving its mission and objectives. The ideal candidates will possess the following:

  • Third level university degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related discipline

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Digital Marketing role (essential)

  • Experienced in SEO, keyword research, AdWords & paid social media marketing. (essential)

  • Proven ability in audience engagement (essential)

  • Experience in copywriting for a brand, writing in line with a specific brand voice and style (desirable)

  • Significant experience managing social media accounts for a business, preferably in the Not-for-Profit or voluntary sector to improve customer experience and increase visibility and engagement. (desirable)

  • Good organisational and communications skills essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work with colleagues and cope under pressure.

  • An ability to prioritise and schedule tasks appropriately so as to make deadlines.

  • Excellent communications skills are required in liaising with contacts within the Society and with outside agencies (e.g. Print Media).

  • An ability to create a uniform “style” across all aspects of the website including Brand protection.

  • Excellent writing abilities with complementary use of multimedia; journalistic training an advantage.

  • Ability to work closely with and support the National Online & Media Coordinator and work as part of a team.

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • The candidate should have a strong understanding of the ethos and workings of SVP and should be able to communicate this via the Website and Social Media platforms

  • Good knowledge of IT essential.

  • Good knowledge of CRM systems and their integration into websites

  • A demonstrated track record in planning and executing digital campaigns.

  • Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
