IT Intern (Shared Services) Reference No: VA180 Location: SVP House, Dublin 1 Duration: Internship (fixed-term 12 months) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Published: Friday 22nd September 2023 Closing Date: Midnight Friday 06th October 2023 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Intern to join our IT team in Shared Services at National Office, Dublin. The purpose of the job is to provide support to IT M/S Office platforms and CRM/Agresso Technical support via the IT Helpdesk as well as working with the IT Team on technical issue resolution. The post holder will support roll-out of conference emails to the volunteer userbase of the Society, assist on IT Helpdesk support, and get involved in the transition from in-house data storage server to Cloud based Office 365 SharePoint. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate (within last 2 years) with a BSc Computer Science or equivalent qualification from an Accredited Institution and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Recent graduate (within last 2 years) with a BSc Computer Science or equivalent qualification from an Accredited Institution

  • Any work experience (paid or voluntary)

  • Team working experience

  • Experience working with MS Office tools and/or applications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Good logical ability to troubleshoot issues

  • Ability to document events and processes

  • Able to adapt to an office environment
