The main purpose of the role is to support the Head of Digital Marketing and Communications and wider Digital Marketing team in shaping the visual identity of our brand(s), and services. Combine artistic creativity with technical skills to produce designs that captivate audiences and effectively convey the Society’s messages, to assist in visual designs for national campaigns and other design areas to deliver exceptional results in support of the Society of St Vincent de Paul’s work and strategy. Reporting directly to the Content Creator Manager the role will be responsible for designing visual content that communicates messages, ideas, and information effectively using a combination of typography, images, colours, and other design elements. Collaborate with the wider digital marketing team, volunteers, colleagues, and stakeholders to create compelling and visually appealing designs across various mediums, such as print, digital, and multimedia platforms.This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest voluntary organisations and make a difference in your community. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is essential.
2+ years of relevant work experience in content creation and strategy is essential.
Experience of web design, animation and multimedia design is desirable.
Experience of print production processes and digital design best practices.
Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
Knowledge of needs and issues of those living in poverty and disadvantaged.
Knowledge of design principles.
Knowledge of typography, colour theory, layout, and composition.
Proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
Ability to adapt to changing design requirements.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality visual content.
Exceptional presentation skills to diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with volunteers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Ability to plan and manage competing deadlines and priorities and work well as part of a small team.
