Staff Required Kitchen Assistant The House of Retreat is looking for a Kitchen Assistant for weekend and Bank holiday work. (10am to 2pm) The ideal candidates must have:-
An understanding and willingness to work within the ethos and lifestyle of the Oblate Community.
Flexibility in working hours.
Good communication skills.
Garda Clearance essential.
Duties: The Kitchen Assistant will be expected to carry out the following areas of work:
To assist the Chefs in cleaning and preparation of food and vegetables.
To work in pot wash area.
To wash up kitchen equipment, delph and cutlery.
To clean food preparation areas, cookers, ovens, worktops, fridges, dry goods storage areas, walls and floors.
Compliance with food hygiene standards EHO. QA and HACCP standards and overseeing the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen and pantry.
To ensure that all Health & Safety Regulations are observed.
