This work experience programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers that are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme. Your eligibility for this programme will have to be verified by the Department as part of the application process. If you are in receipt of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) you will be required to transfer to a Jobseekers payment in order to participate on the programme.
Job Description
The placement is situated at our Cabra Office, which is at 123 Cabra Road , Dublin 7 D07CY91. Staff parking is available and the office is a short walk from Cabra Luas Stop. We will train the successful participant in a placement as a general legal secretary. The placement will then work closely with our legal secretaries, legal executives and solicitors and help the applicant gain experience in the role.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. Formal Training: - Dealing with reception desk. - Greet Clients and answering Phone calls and dealing with queries. - Registrations of title in Registry of Deeds and Land Registry; - Filing stamp duty returns for various transactions; - Scheduling title deeds and maintenance of files; - Audio typing of documents, letters and emails; - Managing files on Keyhouse case management software; - Dealing with court litigation – issuing court pleadings and dealing with clients. - Working on Family Law, Employment Law and general legal practice areas. Informal Training: - Communication Skills - Teamwork
