Administrator (Part-time) Job Description iScoil is an award-winning education organisation that offers learning opportunities and accreditation to young people, aged 13-16, who are not in mainstream education. Students are referred by Tusla Education Support Service. Since 2009, with the support of the Presentation Sisters, iScoil has been at the forefront of designing and implementing a range of innovative learner-centred programmes informed by research and evidence-based practice. We are looking for someone to join our team who is committed to treating our young people, families, and other stakeholders with respect and dignity and will uphold the iScoil culture and ethos. Please go to our website for more information: iScoil.ie The Role To lead administrative support functions across all areas of the organisation with particular responsibility for student and office administration. General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing student paperwork, and following up with families and / or partner agencies

  • Organising QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) and milestone certificates

  • Responding to general phone and email enquiries

  • Drafting and formatting documents and letters

  • Providing administrative support for online surveys and recruitment

  • Processing employee paperwork

  • General file and documentation management

  • Providing assistance in planning and supporting online and in-person events

  • Organising office supplies

  • Promoting good administrative practices, strong governance, and data protection compliance

  • Attending team meetings and assisting with the preparation of meeting materials and minute-taking

  • Fulfilling other duties that may be assigned

  • Responsible to the General Manager

  • The Administrator will report to the General Manager and will collaborate with the CEO and members of the Central Team.

Essential Experience

  • At least two years relevant experience in an administration role ideally in the education and/or charity sector

  • Practical experience of working with information technology in a professional environment General Experience & Key Competencies

  • Knowledge and experience in the education and/or charity sector

  • Outstanding organisational and administrative skills

  • Strong digital skills, including competence using word processing applications, spreadsheets, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software

  • Experience of working independently

  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate with others in a dynamic team environment

  • Excellent professional writing skills

  • Flexibility and openness to respond to requests

Education

  • Qualification in business administration/management or other related course desirable

  • Minimum Level 6 on National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent

  • Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting and reference checks

  • This is an office-based role in iScoil’s office in Acorn Centre, Blackpitts, Dublin 8

  • Approximately 20 hours a week in person (preferably mornings)
