We are seeking a candidate who has experience in both finance and administration working in both areas 5 days per week split approximately 50/50 between office administrative duties and financial accounting. However, we can also consider part-time arrangements should you wish to apply for either the Finance Administrator OR Office Administrator position working part-time (2 or 3 days per role). Principal Duties and Responsibilities This role requires that the candidate report to two managers as follows. Reporting to the Finance Manager for:
Recording invoices and preparing payments
Assist with payroll preparation and processing
Checking expense claims and processing reimbursements
Data capture of accounting transactions on TAS books
Filing of accounting records and keep them up to date
Maintain petty cash, receive money and do banking
Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card accounts and specific grants
Performing any other Finance duties as requested
Reporting to the Operations Manager for:
Creating and maintaining an efficient office environment working with the Operations Manager to deliver the following:
Office layout, clear out and work station assessments
Work associated with health & safety, policies and procedures
Administration of our online HR administrative service HR Locker
Support the resolution of any IT issues that arise
Support the work of reception / contractors and volunteers
Assist with the induction training of new starters to the organisation
Monitor and order supplies such as office and kitchen supplies
Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required Essential requirements (Finance Assistant)
Minimum of 2 years working experience in an Accounts office
Experience of using TAS books or Sage
Fluency in English (oral and written)
High standard of computer literacy including use of Microsoft and Excel.
Highly organised and flexible
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Commitment to human rights of vulnerable individuals and communities
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Essential requirements (Office Administration)
Fluency in English (oral and written)
Experience working in administration
High standard of computer literacy including use of Microsoft and Excel.

An Accounting Technician or equivalent qualification
