Job Title: Event Administrator Reporting to the Professional Development Coordinator the role will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Professional Development Coordinator regarding the organisation, planning and delivery of CPD events, courses and activities

  • Work with IASW staff and volunteers as required to deliver CPD events, courses and activities in line with the CPD processes in place in the IASW

  • Promote IASW CPD opportunities including through social media

  • You will be part of a small team (3 staff members) and will work closely with the team

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Upload event information to www.iasw.ie

  • Monitor event bookings on www.iasw.ie

  • Liaise with event participants regarding event information and respond to participants’ queries

  • Managing invoices and refunds to event participants as appropriate

  • Collate conference packs as required

  • Post event correspondence with speakers and participants

  • Co-ordination of rehearsals and online events using Zoom platform

  • Generation of event statistics and reports

  • Other administrative tasks relating to CPD events and activities

  • Maintain up to date information on events in organisational database

  • Promotion of CPD opportunities

  • Liaise with IASW volunteers and event speakers

  • Other administrative duties as required

Person Specification It is expected that the candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office and has experience in the maintenance and creation of content for websites. The candidate will be a fast learner who pays attention to detail and can demonstrate the ability to follow organisational procedures, while working independently in what can be a fast-paced work environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Able to represent the IASW in a personable and friendly manner, upbeat and positive with high energy. Must have a minimum of 2nd level education (Leaving Certificate). Your development: Education and personal development is important to the IASW. Remuneration: Our remuneration packages are designed to attract and retain the best people as part of our team. Salary €8,606 p/annum (12 hours per week). Hours of Work: Ideally, four hours a day, Wednesday to Friday. Flexible working hours may be available depending on office needs. 12 hours per week . Start Date: Wednesday, 3rd August 2022.
