This work experience programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme.

This programme is for jobseekers that are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme. Your eligibility for this programme will have to be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
The participant will gain practical experience in the following: · Assisting the HR Team with the new employee inductions by meeting and greeting new employees and assisting them with the completion of their new starter forms. · Issuing ID badges and uniforms to new employees. · Checking all new employee documentation is correct before scanning and saving to their own individual personnel folder. · Setting up hard copy employee files to save the paper documents in to and ensuring the filing system is up-to-date. · Archiving all ex-employee personnel files on a monthly basis. · Maintain the administration of the on-line learning platform - Adding new employees - Removing leavers - Sending on-line training invites to employees - Sending reminders to employees to do their on-line training · Updating the HR System Softworks - Updating individual employee training records · Saving, scanning and filing all training certificates, assessments in the employee’s individual folder · Sending all new employees the instructions on how to complete their on-line training · Updating site/area manager training matrixes for their team
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. The participant will receive formal/informal training and mentoring in the following: Formal Training: HR System On-Boarding procedure Training procedures for new hires Administration and GDPR for new hires Informal Training: Communication skills. Teamworking skills.
