Lennan's Yard are seeking a new team member to join their Food and Beverage team. The hours involved will involve Mornings, evenings and weekend work. This role will suit a highly motivated individual with previous experience working within a restaurant or hotel as a Bar/Restaurant/ Bistro Host/hostess. Key Responsibilities:

  • Tend to guests promptly, ensuring they are seated in a timely manner on arrival.

  • Be confident in answering guest's queries.

  • Ensure reservation requests are met at all times and passing on information such as special requests to relevant departments.

  • Have good knowledge of the menu and wine list and be able to make recommendations.

  • Create a memorable dining experience for all guests in order to encourage repeat business.

  • Maintain a high level of personal presentation.

  • Be flexible to assist in other departments as required.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Have a working knowledge of Collins or similar system is a distinct advantage.

  • Must have a good working knowledge of food and beverage.

  • Must have strong communication skills both written and oral.

  • Be flexible to working hours - mid week and weekend, up to 5 days per week.

  • Must be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service.

  • Must be standards driven and detail-oriented.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.

  • Must be flexible with regards to working hours and available at weekends.
