Skerries Golf Club, one of the leading Golf Clubs in the Fingal region is seeking Greenkeeping Trainees for immediate start.
Successful applicants will form part of the existing Greenkeeping Team and will work across all aspects of course maintenance, set-up and development. An interest in acquiring Greenkeeping qualifications and in mechanics will be a distinct advantage. You will be trained in: • Mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, semi-rough, surrounds and approaches • Scarifying/verticutting, shockwaving, aerating, applying top-dressing • Applying nutrition and sprays • Identifying and controlling weeds and pests • Driving tractors with implements • Undertaking routine machine maintenance • Course set-up • Operating as part of a team You must be able to work seasonally adjusted hours. Weekend work is part of the job.
