About the Job FoodCloud Hubs support the redistribution of surplus food and food provision stock to charity and community groups across Ireland. Our physical operations work with the Irish food industry to identify and redistribute large quantities of surplus food, spanning collection of food, warehouse operations and then redistribution out to charities. Operations have grown significantly over recent years and continue on an upward curve, redistributing thousands of tonnes of food each year. Operations are underpinned by industry leading systems and technology and our teams supported with the training, equipment and processes that create excellent practices and the environment to engage charities and volunteers each day. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team and support the growth of a proven organisation that has already been making a real community, environmental, and business impact. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General warehouse activity including goods in, product sorting, booking of stock, picking, goods out, cleaning, stock management, equipment maintenance and safety checks

  • Compliance with regulatory requirements including food hygiene, health and safety, and transport.

  • Maintain a positive relationship and good communication with food suppliers, charity and community groups and service providers

  • Support the volunteer experience in the warehouse and the training of processes where required

  • Forklift operations including vehicle loading and unloading

  • Cleaning and maintenance of vehicles

  • Comply with all FoodCloud policies and procedures and with industry standards as required by food donors and regulators.

  • Comply with monitoring and regulation systems as required for the organisation's activities and report on these regularly to the Hubs Supervisor.

  • The successful candidate must hold or be willing to gain a forklift licence - qualification and training can be completed at FoodCloud

  • The successful candidate must hold or be willing to gain Level 2 FoodSafety Certification (or equivalent) - qualification and training can be completed at FoodCloud

Key Skills

  • At least 2 year’s experience of working in food distribution, warehousing operation, or customer service

  • Positive attitude towards training and willingness to develop new skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willing to train and operate our WMS software system

  • Willing to train to the required recognised Food Safety and Health and Safety qualifications

  • Willing to gain forklift licence.

  • A full, clean, valid Irish/EU driving licence is a plus but not a requirement

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Additional duties as required, per business needs.

  • The role will be based in our Dublin warehouse and typical hours are Full-time, 37.5 hours per week 8am - 4:30 pm and 8 am - 3:30 pm one day per week.
