Depaul wishes to recruit to the following role: IT Assistant Permanent Post 35 hours per week Cross Border Role - Dublin, Belfast and Regional Services with some remote work Salary €26,075.45 per annum 1. Role: This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join our organisation's IT Team based in Dublin. Depaul is a values-led organisation working with services throughout Dublin and the South East as well as in Belfast and Derry. This role will report directly to the IT Manager and will support all internal IT systems and processes within our organisation and ensure the systems remain fit for purpose across all departments. Some travel will be required for site visits to our 20+ service locations throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse organisation of talented individuals providing vital services to the most marginalised. 2. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Level 1 and 2 support using our ticketing system - assessing IT support queries relating to system access, system performance, equipment performance, storage space or connectivity on a daily basis, responding to each in priority order and resolving each or escalating where necessary, attending at project site to assist when required
Installation of new computers, printers and other hardware
Hardware upgrade and repairs
Setting up user access to systems and folders and restoring access for blocked users / lost passwords
Maintaining and managing the starters/leavers/transfers process on multiple IT systems
Setup of mobile devices - phones and tablets
Supporting the development of the OTIS (Salesforce CRM) system
Supporting the asset and licence management processes
Updating existing documentation and creating new
The above list is not exhaustive; additional areas of responsibility may be added over time and flexibility to cover for other staff roles is required from time to time. All tasks should be completed in an accurate manner and supported by clear documentation. 3. Personal Requirements:
Certificate or diploma in IT support / systems or equivalent (essential)
Minimum of one-year experience in an IT role, including PC installation and troubleshooting of hardware and system issues (essential)
Full driver’s license and own transport is essential
Must have legal ability to work in Ireland
Ability to balance multiple tasks, working to set deadlines
Ability to troubleshoot issues on their own
Good written and verbal communication skills, to communicate with colleagues and service suppliers
Strong attention to detail with effective time management skills
Experience in the charity sector is desirable but not essential
Technical Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, especially Windows 10. Strong knowledge of AD and Office 365
Strong knowledge of Mobile operating systems, especially Android
Good understanding of basic Windows based network topology including TCP/IP
Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues with PCs, laptops, network printers and Wi-Fi
Experience with SaaS technologies especially G Suite (Google Apps) and Salesforce is desirable but not essential
Experience with Azure and Windows Server is desirable but not essential
