Contract Position – Accounts Assistant - Ocean Healthcare


Ocean Healthcare is a dynamic privately owned business established in 2003. We offer sales, marketing and distribution solutions to healthcare brand owners within the pharmacy, grocery, and dental channels in Ireland. We are experiencing a period of growth with organic and new brand development, with opportunities for personal development in a positive proactive team environment. As we are now planning to undertake an investment project in our IT systems and processes, we have an opening for a part-time contract role within our finance team. Join us as an Accounts Assistant to manage our accounts payables, receivables, and banking. This is an office based role. Key Tasks: Manage Accounts Payable & Receivables

  • Manage the debtors ledger, month-end statements, runs DDs, allocate payments and promptly resolve customer account queries. Strictly manage aged debt.

  • Manage our supplier accounts, invoice and payments processing.

  • Perform supplier account statement reconciliations.

  • Set up approved new suppliers and customers as required.

Manage Bank Accounts

  • Perform the monthly bank account reconciliation.

  • Manage currency transactions. (Eur & GBP)

Other

  • Provide information for the year-end audit in relation to the areas you manage.

  • General administration tasks.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2+ years relevant experience in a similar role.

  • An accounting technician qualification (CAT or ATI) would be an advantage, but not essential depending on experience.

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.

  • Attention to details and accuracy is critical.

  • Very proficient in MS Office and use of an ERP system. (We use Sage)

  • A team player with the ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Salary for this part-time role is €26k (annualised)

  • Annualised leave is 23 days per annum.
