
Applications are invited for the position of a Clerical Officer Grade 4 (Panel), Human Resources, Shared Services. This role will be based in Connolly Head Office. Role Purpose: The clerical officer’s primary task is to process staff and retiree travel privilege applications. The officer will be required to provide administrative support on assigned projects and tasks associated with the HR function. The successful applicant will be involved in the integration and back-end support of established and new company-wide programmes and services. Key Skills & Qualities: Essential:
Possesses a working knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
Ability to work effectively during periods of high volume
Desire to learn about the organisation and forge effective working relationships
Can work to a set of task and goals as set by their line-manager
Uses initiative to identify, undertake and complete Ad-Hoc tasks
Can provide accurate, articulate reporting regarding processes, projects, or tasks they are assigned
Desirable:
+1 Years’ experience in an administrative role
Level 7 or higher qualification in Human Resources, Business, or IT
General Responsibilities:
Provide one day turnaround for identity card renewals
Process applications for staff Residential Travel passes
Process foreign travel coupon applications pertaining to IE staff and Retirees
Maintain the integrity of all databases assigned to the role
Provide same day response to all queries relating to the Travel Facilities function and assigned tasks
Provide a courteous and helpful source of advice to Irish Rail staff and retirees
Log weekly status reports as per a standardised procedure
Liaise with relevant HR departments when required
Support the administration of HR tasks, functions & projects as directed by their line manager
