Central Remedial Clinic: Relief Drivers Panel.Expiry date 19th July 22


The CRC delivers a range of services to children and adults with disabilities both nationally and locally through our centres in Dublin, Limerick and Waterford and our Outreach Services. The mission of the CRC is that by working together we make a positive difference to the lives of people with disabilities, their families and carers. Our vision is that people with disabilities achieve their potential and live full lives as equal and valued citizens. Relief Drivers Panel Relief Panel of minibus drivers- daily rates apply. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when required is essential. CRC are looking to add to our panel of relief Drivers to support our Transport Service in Dublin. The role involves transporting adults to and from their homes to our Centre in Clontarf and other Centres in the Dublin area; along with other driving requirements. Occasional driving to our regional centres in Waterford and Limerick may be necessary. Applicants for this position should have the following essential criteria:

  • A full clean D1 driving licence

  • Be current with driver CPC obligations

  • Have the ability, when necessary to work on their own initiative

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be an excellent and innovative team member with a strong commitment to the empowerment of people who have a disability

  • Have a good awareness of health & safety issues

  • Flexible approach to work, the successful candidates will be available on occasion to work evenings and weekends

The following criteria are desirable but not essential:

  • Have driving experience in a similar role

  • Experience of using clamping equipment for wheelchair users

  • A social studies or other relevant qualification such as Healthcare Support – QQI Level 5 full award
