Carr’s Child and Family Services vision is for all children to live in safe, stable homes, nurtured by their families, communities, and the State. We are looking for a competent part-time Office Assistant to help with the organisation and running of the daily administrative operations of the charity. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. The successful candidate must have

  • A can do attitude

  • Excellent organisational & communication skills

  • A good working understanding of MS Word & Excel

  • Able to work as part of a team and on one's own initiative when required

  • Ability to successfully meet deadlines and achieve agreed targets

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but full training will be provided

  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures

  • Working knowledge of office equipment

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information

  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments

  • Stock management & ordering of office requirements including stationery Coordinate with other services to ensure compliance with established policies

  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues

  • Raising invoices, credit notes and allowances while liaising with the accounts team when required

  • General document management including making copies and filing
