Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.


This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

NearTV is looking for a Camera Operator to work on productions such as documentary, magazine style programmes, community profiles as well as live programmes. Neartv engages with community groups in North Dublin with a focus on encouraging community development through media. Technical experience with camera equipment would be an advantage. We are looking for someone with strong self-motivation, interested in developing their skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Other tasks include: Assist with the day-to-day office duties at NearTV as required Assist in the quick turnaround of filmed events in the locality for DCTV (Virgin 802) Assist with pre-production of shoots, call sheets, making contacts, location permissions etc. as required. Occasional sound recording and editing
