Job purpose
Barnardos is one of the largest children’s charities in Ireland. The charity has been providing life-changing supports to vulnerable children and their families throughout Ireland for 60 years. Barnardos’ supporters are so important in helping the charity carry out this work, and in return, we want to make sure those supporters get the best experience when they do choose to support our work. As one of the key support roles within the Donor Marketing team, the successful candidate for this role will play an essential part in ensuring an excellent donor care experience for existing and prospective donors. This person will assist with the implementation of the overall fundraising strategy to raise vital voluntary income for Barnardos’ work with children and families all over Ireland

Excellent computer skills and working experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database packages (Raisers Edge/MS Dynamics preferable but not essential).
Experience processing data under GDPR guidelines
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ administration experience, of which at least one year’s experience in customer care or not for profit fundraising/marketing essential.
Exposure to other elements of fundraising and/or telemarketing activity would be very beneficial but is not essential.
Qualifications
Minimum: Junior cycle certificate of achievement or equivalent, level of education.
Relevant third level qualification desirable but not essential with relevant experience gained either in the corporate or voluntary sector.
