Contract: Part-time (24 hours per week) and Specific Purpose (maternity cover)
Work days: Monday to Thursday (negotiable)
Salary: €16,031 - €24,834 Depending on Experience. (This is the pro-rated salary for 24 hours)

At Bawnlea we provide a trauma-informed family support service, delivering services and interventions for children and their families, living in the areas of Dublin 12 and 24.
The Barnardos Special Needs Service is a community-based, family focused, early intervention service for children under 6 years of age, with a wide range of special needs. The service provides family support alongside structured group and individual programmes for children.
Barnardos work is partnership-based – working in close partnership with families, statutory bodies and voluntary agencies, to bring about better outcomes for children, using a mind, heart and body approach.
Bawnlea Child & Family Centre, is based in Jobstown, Tallaght, and the Special Needs Service is based at Chamber House next to Tallaght Library, Dublin 24.
To provide an efficient and flexible administrative support service to the Bawnlea Centre and Special Needs Service, in an integrated way with the wider Barnardos organisation.
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Awareness of confidentiality and the ability to deal with sensitive queries
Teamwork required and the ability to work in collaboration with others
Ability to work on own initiative and to consult where appropriate
Ability to prioritise competing demand
Flexibility and adaptability in terms of tasks and time is essential for this post.
Minimum of two years’ directly relevant experience essential.
Experience of working in schools or within a community setting with children and families is highly desirable.
Junior cycle certificate of achievement or equivalent minimum level of education.
A working ability in IT Systems, word processing and finance skills are essential
The post-holder is initially assigned to work in Tallaght at the Bawnlea Centre, with one day at the Special Needs Service, but may be required in the future to work in other project(s) in the Dublin area in line with Organisational needs.
