Atlantic Youth Trust Clg is an Irish registered charity that exists to build life skills, resilience, and co-operation in children throughout the island of Ireland. Its vision is to be the best youth development tall ship organisation in the world, with a focus on Education, Youth Development, Training, Tourism, and Enterprise. The organisation’s work is centred around the Tallship Grace O’Malley, a 164 ft. which has just completed her maiden voyage from Sweden to Ireland. The Trust has on board crew in place and is now starting to build an onshore team.
About the Role
The Atlantic Youth Trust are looking to appoint an experienced Office Administrator to provide support to the CEO, Board, and wider team with administrative needs. The post holder responsibilities will include liaising with suppliers whose systems support the delivery of services, updating accounting systems to facilitate payments and ensuring inbound general enquires are responded to in a timely and professional manner. Their responsibilities of the post holder will also include the maintaining of annual leave systems for all staff, scheduling of management meetings and the management of any payment batches for staff. The management of the Internal Communication systems and Cloud file system will also fall under the remit of the chosen individual’s responsibilities.
To succeed in this role, the post holder must have experience in a similar role in administration. The chosen candidate will have strong communication skills, both verbally and written as well as a confident ability to communicate clear and accurate information. The person will also have a strong attention to detail and good organisational skills. They will also be competent in the Google suite, comfortable with CRM such as Salesforce and Accounting Systems.
