Reports To - Chief Executive Officer
Key Relationships & Interactions
Internal – CEO, Chairperson, Financial Sub Committee of the Board and Board of Management.External - HSE, DSP and other funders, External auditors, External advisors.
ARC is a section 39 community-based provider of supports for people in Addiction, the primary objective of the company is to respond to the drugs/addiction problems in the Dublin 12 area in a pro – active manner, the organisation achieves these objectives through providing and facilitating an extensive list of programmes. ARC aims to provide holistic, client centred, non – judgemental, professional and caring services and to provide clients with alternative life options. We recognise the interdependence of the individual, the family and the community in all our services provided, Community led and based on community development, we seek to raise community awareness of the problem of addiction, it’s impact and how best to respond to the problem.

Reporting to the CEO, the Financial & Administration Team Leader will be primarily responsible for managing and developing the leadership of the Finance and Administration team.
Terms & Conditions
10-month contract- March – December 2024.Salary Comparable to Grade V HSE Salary Scale 2023
At least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in finance or Financial Management.
A fully or part qualified accountant.
Proven experience in working with funders, compiling grant applications and reporting.
Proven experience of leading, managing and developing diverse support teams. This includes coaching and mentoring of staff and encouraging problem solving behaviour in teams.
Experience of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and flexible, ability to meet deadlines in a busy role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products especially Word and Excel.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience of working in a not for profit or healthcare environment.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Financial & Administration Team Leader is a key leadership role ensuring a platform of systems and practices are in place to support the delivery of ARC Financial services. The successful candidate will have significant financial and administrative responsibilities that include leading and developing finance, facilities, procurement and IT systems
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership of the Finance and Administration team.
Building competence and capacity within the team.
Develop / maintain funding relationships with HSE / DSP and other funders.
Support ARC operations with grant applications.
Effective communication around costing methodology.
Support the CEO in agreeing the Service Level Agreement with HSE
Attend the bi-monthly meeting of the Finance / Audit subcommittee to the board. Present annual budgets for approval and prepare monthly and quarterly monthly finance reports to the Board.
Oversee the annual audit and liaise with Auditors on matters of importance to funders and the Board.
Oversee finance policy and practices to ensure all are in line with Statutory requirements.
Oversee financial risks.
IT / Systems Development.
Oversee the design and delivery of IT strategy ensuring integrated and efficient systems.
Ensure all electronic systems are used cohesively across the organisation and are accessible to all.
