2023/173 Household Assistant Specified Purpose Contracts (Full Time and Part Time) Working in the Rotunda: We are currently looking to hire Household Assistants to join our Household Department here in the Rotunda. The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of dedicated Household professionals completing various Household duties around the Hospital. Based in the city centre and on the grounds of the oldest continuously operating maternity hospital in the world, you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across all professional disciplines and become part of the Rotunda family. The successful candidate will assist and contribute to the smooth running of the Household Department and will complete all designed Household duties activities including vacuuming, buffing, scrubbing and dusting in line with infection control and HIQA Guidelines. You will be required to adhere and comply with the Hospital’s policies and statutory regulations. Essential Experience:
Have a minimum of six months’ recent experience in a similar role in a hospital, hotel or a similar environment.
Have experience in dealing with the public.
Have a good command of the English language.
Demonstrate a positive outlook and attitude.
Have a proven ability to balance quality with quantity.
Have proven organisational skills.
Have experience working with cleaning machinery (e.g: buffers, Scrub dryers)
Have knowledge of HIQA standards.
Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential as full training and induction are provided.
